A Company Of Women Statement of
Faith
We believe in one God,
present in three persons, fully
equal, completely in unity of heart,
mind, and purpose: Father, Son, Holy
Spirit.
We believe that the Bible
is the inerrant Word of the Living
God. Although man's translations are
often done through societal norms of
the day, the message of the Gospel
is fully recognizable by the
Presence of God in the believer.
We believe that in order to
see the Kingdom of God, a person
must have personal relationship to
God. The act of being "born again"
and filled with the Holy Spirit is
available to all who ask. Salvation
for mankind is available by simply
calling on the name of Jesus, and
repenting for sins.
We believe in the
traditional sacraments of the
church: baptism in water, marriage,
communion, and others. While
non-essential for salvation, these
blessings enrich the lives of
believers in a more intimate way to
God.
We believe that Jesus
Christ is the only Son of the
Living God, fully man, fully God,
and has existed with the Father from
all eternity. Because death is
required for sin, Jesus emptied
Himself and became a man among us so
that He could provide the one-time
perfect sacrifice for us on the
cross at Calvary. Because He is
God's Son, and because He was
completely sinless, He could be the
"lamb" sacrifice for all that we
have ever done or thought. His Blood
literally saved us from destruction
and gives us freedom and hope.
His act of love allows all of
mankind full access to a personal
relationship to God Himself, and the
resurrected life both here on earth
and into eternity.
We believe that Jesus was
conceived by the Holy Spirit and
born of the virgin Mary. His life of
miracles and healings bore testimony
to His Divine nature.
After His crucifixion by
sinful men, Jesus was raised on the
third day. His resurrection gives
mankind access to the heavenly
realms by tearing away the veil of
separation. Fifty days after the
resurrection, on the day of
Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was
poured out over believers. (Acts 2,
foretold in Joel 2). At that moment,
a new era was born. Believers in
Christ can be filled with the Holy
Spirit without measure, and are able
to see the Kingdom of God and
participate in His operations on the
earth.
We believe in faith,
miracles, healings, prophecy, love,
words of knowledge, words of wisdom,
the gift of tongues,
interpretation of tongues,
discerning of spirits, and all
ministries of the Holy Spirit on
earth. These gifts did not pass away
with the Apostles, but are actively
in operation today. We also believe
that the supernatural realm is alive
and working on the earth, and that
angels work among us.
We believe in the real
return of the Lord Jesus, and the
inevitable judgment of those who do
not know Him at the point of death.
We do not participate in arguments
over the timing of eschatology, but
stand firmly on the faith that His
Blood is our testimony of salvation
regardless of what point in history
we may find ourselves.
Above all, we believe
that His Church is called to love
the Lord with all of our heart,
mind, soul, and strength. We are
commanded also to love one another,
and stand as people connected to His
heart by the Spirit of God. We are
called to love those who do not know
God, and bring His love to them as
lights shining in a dark world. We
stand as brothers and sisters
together before the Throne of Grace,
knowing that we have been granted
adoption into God's family at a very
high price. It is our Father's
desire that all come to the
knowledge of His Son Jesus, and that
we love not in word only, but in our
actions. All who seek to be part of
His family are welcome.
